Rita Staniforth

Rita continues working on her wild and whimsical animal collection. This year, she's including donkeys, sheep, cats and whatever else takes her fancy. There is also a selection of more practical pieces such as fruit bowls, vases and plates.

Rita is a self-taught pottery artist, working entirely in hand-building. All her pieces are one-of-a-kind, created with a sense of fun for both the artist and the buyer. Her animals are designed to make the viewer smile or even laugh out loud. Her other pieces, although practical, are "not quite normal".

Rita is available for hand-building classes which she operates through the Village Pottery Studio in Markham.
