John Walmsley

John received his art education in the U.K. He worked for several art stubio's, before forming a partnership in "JJ Commercial Art Inc." He has a lifelong interest in aviation & marine subjects. He is a Charter member of the Canadian Aviation Artists Assoc, the American Society of Aviation Artists, & the Society of York Region Artists. In 2007, he was awarded First prize, at the National Aviation Museum's international Artflight competition. In 2009, he was awarded second prize in Artflight's bi-annual competition. John's aviation art was included in the Millenium Collection that toured Canada for 2 years' & his artwork is in the permanent collections at the RCAF Museum, Trenton & the National Aviation Museum, Ottawa.and the Bowman Collection, Newmarket. His artwork has been featured in many magazines & books. His work embraces many varied subjects for which he has received several awards.
