Allison’s life long interest in the arts not only manifests itself in her role as an art teacher, or assistant at a local art gallery, but also spans many means of creative expression. From performance in dance and music to the creation of works in the visual arts, Allison works in a variety of media and several different styles. Creating both abstract and highly realistic work, Allison’s inspiration can come from a photograph, a song on the radio, or even a predominant mood. Sometimes the idea is fully formed, translating quickly into a final product and other times, the process is much slower, requiring trial, error, and frustration until the desired effect is achieved.
