Robin has been
fascinated by the jewellers of old. Working with stones,
lampwork glass, metal clay and wire offers limitless
possibilities.
Her focus is now directed towards silver
jewellery incorporating semi-precious 'picture' stones.
She likes to
create designs that not only entice the wearer to
investigate the design and the detailed work, but also
to handle it and discover its texture, personality and
beauty.
Each of her designs is a unique, handcrafted tapestry of
precious metals, semi-precious gemstones, pearls,
ammolite, crystals and found objects that include
hand-fabricated pieces created from
precious metal clay, intricate wire designs, and
chain-making.
Robin is a self-taught jeweller and has been dabbling in
the art of jewellery-making on and off since childhood.
The greatest compliment for her is when someone
incorporates one of her jewellery designs into their own
unique style.
