Rita is a self-taught potter, working mostly with slab.  She creates one-of-a-kind pieces, adds lots of colour and, often, even more humour.   While some of her pieces may be functional, their original intent is simply to give pleasure.  She credits her interest in clay to the long vanished mud pile at the bottom of her Mum's garden, discovering the "real stuff" only ten years ago.   Since then, her pottery art has become her passion.
