About
the artist
Deborah believes
“You
need to feel something when you look at a painting – you
need to enjoy the moment.”
Beauty is all around us in “a wrinkled face, a
child’s laugh, or the sun and shadow on a dilapidated
barn.” All of
these have been captured in Deb’s work – be it her
watercolours, pen & ink, oils, photography, her
portraits or caricatures.
Deborah’s gift is in her ability to portray in
her work, especially her portraits and caricatures, a
feeling and emotion of the subject.
She has discovered that people who commission her
for a portrait or caricature have a deep love for the
subject – they want to remember a time or treasure a
moment and Deb’s artistic ability allows them to keep
the subject close.
