About the artist

With a life long interest in the arts, Allison’s earliest memories are of drawing pictures to adorn her parent’s refrigerator.  A ballet dancer from the age of four, Allison’s work reflects her passion for the beauty of this art form, as well as her love of music. In particular, Allison is interested in the relationship between music and art, with art as a visual means of musical expression.

Most recently, Allison has been exploring the versitility of working with molten wax in an ancient art media known as “encaustic” painting. She has also been experimenting with the contrast between highly realistic graphite drawings and minimalistic acrylic painting.
